About HertSpeak

HertSpeak is a CoreKids project funded by Comic Relief specifically for children, parents and families where problematic alcohol use may be an issue.

HertSpeak is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire but we can sometimes work with families more locally to where they live.

We aim to work in a family-focused way to help children be safe and healthy, adults to be effective parents, and families to communicate.

HertSpeak can support:

- Parents with current or past alcohol use issues
- Children from pre birth to 18 yrs (and with over 18s where appropriate) who have been affected by parental alcohol use
- Anyone with a caring role for a child affected by parental alcohol use

We offer a support package for the family as a whole as well as for individuals based on their needs.

Services include:

- Family therapy sessions
- 1:1 Therapy Sessions
- Couples sessions
- Parenting 1-2-1
- Therapeutic Play
- Parenting Groups
- Play coaching
