Catalyst Aftercare (Barnet)

Much of the journey through treatment can be about stabilisation and coping without substances. Aftercare is a positive time when individuals can start to lead a more fulfilling life through self development and realising their potential.

At WDP Catalyst Aftercare, clients will have the opportunity to continue to build on and consolidate treatment gains as they maintain abstinence through Aftercare specific drug and alcohol treatment. They can also take advantage of a vibrant Education, Training and Employment (ETE) package to support them get to where they want to go.

Aftercare Provision

We work with clients to assess and put together an aftercare plan to best suit their individual needs.
We support:
• 1-2-1 and group sessions
• Relapse Prevention Programme
• Peer Support Group
• Coordinated social activities and social networking (working with BSUG)

Education, Training & Employment

We have a dedicated ‘Skills for Life’ tutor to help our clients gain nationally recognized qualifications in Literacy, Numeracy and IT (computers).

The team at WDP Catalyst Aftercare hold weekly employability workshops which include: how to write a CV and fill in an application form; interview techniques; confidence building; goal setting; and disclosure of criminal record when applying for a job. A weekly Job Club to browse live vacancies, college placements and voluntary opportunities.

We also provide advice and guidance on benefits and housing.
